Oggi alle 10.00 il cantiere della nuova infrastruttura è stato tenuto a battesimo posando la simbolica "prima pietra", una fontana che raffigura l'intreccio tra conoscenza, tecnologia e vita. Presenti le autorità, i vertici di USI e SUPSI e gli architetti autori del progetto.
I 160 metri di murales sono stati inaugurati oggi in occasione della posa della prima pietra. Artisti da tutta la Svizzera hanno proposto sulle recinzioni del cantiere (lato fiume) la loro interpretazione delle aree scientifiche che saranno ospitate nel campus.
In collaborazione con la Hanken School of Economics, Finlandia, l'indirizzo permetterà a studenti di comunicazione ed economia di acquisire una prospettiva interculturale e interdisciplinare sulle grandi sfide della contemporaneità.
Giovedì 5 ottobre prende il via una nuova serie di workshop di orientamento professionale, tenuti dal Career Service insieme a professionisti delle Risorse Umane per aiutare gli studenti a preparare la loro futura carriera.
La nuova classe, composta da 18 studenti di 11 differenti nazionalità, ha iniziato oggi il programma di formazione avanzata, concepito per arricchire il proprio profilo professionale con competenze interculturali di alto livello.
Il prossimo 5 ottobre, dalle ore 10.00 sul campus di Mendrisio, sarà ripercorsa l'opera di questo maestro dell’architettura svizzera del XX secolo. L'appuntamento s'iscrive in un progetto di ricerca coordinato da Nicola Navone e sostenuto dal FNS.
Il convegno si terrà i prossimi 5 e 6 ottobre sul campus di Lugano. Organizzato dalla Prof. ssa Silvia Santini, avrà a tema la ricerca in ambito energetico e le collaborazioni con l'industria del settore in Austria, Germania, Svizzera e paesi limitrofi.
Il film sarà proiettato venerdì 6 ottobre alle 18.00 nell'auditorio del campus di Lugano. L'evento è organizzato dal World Challenge Program, in collaborazione con il corso di Applied Social Enterpreneurship del Prof. Paulo Gonçalves.
Sabato 7 ottobre con i due importanti ospiti, rispettivamente vicepresidente di PSA Group e vicepresidente di PTC Therapeutics, si parlerà di come trarre il massimo da un cambiamento di carriera, specie nei primi 100 giorni in azienda.
Anche quest'anno studenti del corso di Francese settoriale della docente Regina Bollhalder Mayer faranno parte della giuria che sceglierà il vincitore del riconoscimento, appendice svizzera del celebre premio letterario francese.
Il tradizionale appuntamento si terrà sabato 7 ottobre dalle ore 15.00 alle ore 18.00 sul campus di Lugano (spazio esterno sotto la mensa), con un divertente programma adatto alle bambine e bambini di tutte le età.

The ceremony was held today at 10am on the construction site. A fountain representing knowledge, technology and life was also unveiled. On location, authorities, USI and SUPSI management and the architects who designed the project.
160 meters of wall street art were inaugurated today on the occasion of the cornerstone laying. Artists from all over Switzerland have painted on the construction site fences (riverside) their interpretation of the scientific areas that the new campus will host.
In collaboration with Hanken School of Economics, Finland, the specialisation will allow students majoring in communication and economics to gain intercultural and interdisciplinary experience on current challenges.
A new series of workshops dedicated to professional orientation will kick off on Thursday, October 5th. The encounters are held by the Career Service with the support of HR experts, to help students get ready for their future careers.
The new class of 18 students hailing from 11 different countries has begun its advance study training designed to enrich the participants’ professional profile with high-level intercultural competencies.
The works of the master of 20th Century Swiss architecture will be retraced on October 5th from 10am on Mendrisio campus. The event is part of a research project coordinated by Nicola Navone and supported by the SNF.
The convention will be held on October 5th – 6th on Lugano campus. Organised by Prof. Silvia Santini, the theme will be research in the energy domain and cooperation in the German, Austrian, Swiss region and neighbouring countries.
The film screening will begin on Friday, October 6th at 6pm in the Auditorium on Lugano campus. The event is organised by the World Challenge Program, in cooperation with the course of Applied Social Enterpreneurship held by Prof. Paulo Gonçalves.
The two important guests, respectively the vice-president of the PSA Group and the vice-president of PTC Therapeutics, will discuss on October 7th about how to get the best out of a career change, especially in the first 100 days in the company.
Again this year, students of the course of French at sectoral level held by lecturer Regina Bollhalder Mayer will be part of the jury that will choose the winner of the prize, as Swiss representatives of the famous French literary prize.
The traditional event will be held on Saturday, October 7th from 3pm to 6pm on Lugano campus in the space under the cafeteria with a fun filled programme of games and activities for children of all ages.
