Mercoledì scorso il Consiglio di Stato ticinese ha presentato il messaggio che delinea gli obiettivi della politica universitaria cantonale per il quadriennio e i relativi contratti di prestazione.

Lo Swiss Space Roadshow farà tappa all'USI giovedì 13 ottobre alle ore 17.00 in auditorio (campus di Lugano). Saranno presentate le opportunità di carriera all'ESA e presso diversi attori industriali e di ricerca del settore aerospaziale svizzero.
Giacomo Rizzolatti dirige il dipartimento di Neuroscienze dell’Università di Parma, Antonio Gnoli scrive per La Repubblica. L'incontro si terrà lunedì 17 ottobre alle ore 19.30 nell'aula magna del campus di Mendrisio.
Il premio è stato attribuito ai tre scienziati britannici D. Thouless, D. Haldane e M. Kosterlitz. Nelle referenze citate nella motivazione del premio figurano anche alcuni lavori sui superconduttori di Piero Martinoli, già Presidente dell'USI.
Lunedì 3 e martedì 4 ottobre l’USI ha ospitato gli Ufficiali della Polizia cantonale, che hanno portato a termine il corso iniziato lo scorso maggio per lo sviluppo di soluzioni di pianificazione strategica ideato per loro dal prof. Paulo Gonçalves.
Sabato 15 ottobre, dalle ore 15.00 presso lo stabile Suglio a Manno diverse animazioni, una merenda e uno spettacolo di animazione circense permetteranno di passare un allegro pomeriggio con i propri bambini.

From June 19th to the 23rd, 2017, USI’s Institute of Finance organises an intensive 1-week course on market microstructure for doctoral students or practitioners interested in advanced research. Application deadline by the end of November 2016.
The Swiss Space Roadshow is coming to USI (Thursday, October 13th, 5pm, Auditorium, Lugano campus). Students will learn about career opportunities at ESA, at various industrial and research entities, and within the Swiss aerospace sector.
Giacomo Rizzolatti is the director of the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Parma. Antonio Gnoli writes for La Repubblica. The event will be held on October 17th, at 7:30pm in the Aula magna on the Mendrisio campus.

On October 3rd, and 4th, USI welcomed a class of Cantonal Police officers on its Lugano campus to complete the course that began in May, designed by Prof. Paulo Gonçalves to help them develop strategic planning solutions.
This year the “Family Festival” will be held on Saturday, October 15th, at 3pm, in the Suglio building in Manno, with entertainment, a snack and a circus show for a pleasant and cheerful afternoon to spend with your children.
