Gli studenti sono 2964 e provengono per il 25.8% dal Ticino, il 6.7% da altri cantoni, il 46.6% dall’Italia e il 20.9% da altri Paesi. Secondo l’indagine laureati 2015 a un anno dalla laurea risulta occupato l’89.6% e a cinque anni il 95.8% dei diplomati.
Questa settimana sarà a Mendrisio una delegazione composta dal prof. Erwin Viray e dal prof. Yoshiro Ono del Kyoto Institute of Technology, con il quale l'Accademia di architettura ha recentemente firmato un accordo di collaborazione.
Stasera lunedì 14 dicembre alle 18.00 nell'auditorio del campus di Lugano si terrà la cerimonia di consegna delle borse di studio, di 4'000 CHF ognuna, ai migliori studenti iscritti al secondo anno dei programmi di Master USI.
Giovedì 17 dicembre alle 14.00 in auditorio (campus di Lugano), dopo l'introduzione del Decano Kai Hormann, si terranno le presentazioni dei progetti semestrali da parte degli studenti. Seguirà un aperitivo.
L'Istituto di ricerche solari (IRSOL), con sede a Locarno, studia le condizioni fisiche dell'atmosfera solare. Con l'associazione l'USI ne riconosce la qualità scientifica, lasciando al contempo all'Istituto la propria autonomia strategica e amministrativa.
Dal 17 al 19 dicembre a Ginevra si terrà il workshop nato da una collaborazione fra l'Istituto media e giornalismo dell'USI (IMeG) e l'ITU, per discutere le più recenti ricerche nell'ambito della storia delle telecomunicazioni.
La Fondazione Sodeska bandisce 5 borse di studio per studenti di nazionalità svizzera. Harley-Davidson Club Ticino (H-DCT) ne bandisce due per studenti svizzeri e residenti in Ticino all'ammissione all'USI. Candidature entro il 31.1.2016.
L'associazione studentesca dell'USI Student Point vi aspetta martedì 15 dicembre dalle 10:00 nello spazio esterno sotto la mensa (campus di Lugano) per una colazione, un pranzo o uno snack di beneficenza a favore di AVAID.

After the recent collaboration agreement signed with Kyoto Institute of Technology, a delegation formed by Prof. Erwin Viray and prof. Yoshiro Ono will visit the Academy of Mendrisio this week.
The award ceremony will be held tonight, December 14th at 6pm in the Auditorium of Lugano Campus. Scholarships of 4,000 CHF each will be conferred to the best students enrolled in the second year of master programmes.
The presentation of the semester projects by the students of the faculty will be held after an introduction by Dean Kai Hormann on Thursday, Dec. 17th at 2pm in the Auditorium (Lugano Campus). A cocktail reception will follow.
The Institute of Solar Research of Locarno is dedicated to research in solar physics. With its association, USI acknowledges its scientific quality, while leaving to the Institute its strategic and administrative autonomy.
A workshop to discuss about the most recent research in the history of telecommunication will be held from Dec. 17th to the 19th in Geneva. The event is jointly organised by USI’s Institute for Media and Journalism (IMeG) and ITU.
The Sodeska foundation offers 5 scholarships to Swiss students, while the Harley-Davidson Club Ticino (H-DCT) offers two to Swiss students living in Ticino at their enrolment at USI. Applications by Jan. 31st, 2016.
The student association USI Student Point welcomes you for a charity breakfast, lunch or a snack in favour of AVAID. The event will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 15th from 10am in the outdoor space under the mensa (Lugano Campus).
