Le Reti neuronali ricorrenti sviluppate da Jürgen Schmidhuber, prof. della Facoltà di scienze informatiche (Istituto Dalle Molle di studi sull’intelligenza artificiale, USI-SUPSI) sono alla base di un’importante innovazione tecnologica annunciata da Google.
Il Presidente dell’USI Piero Martinoli prende posizione in merito alle polemiche seguite alla pubblicazione di uno studio dell’IRE sul mercato del lavoro ticinese, affermando con forza l'importanza di difendere l'autonomia accademica.
Giovedì 29 ottobre alle 19.30 Marco Cremaschi, prof. di Urbanistica e politiche urbane a SciencesPo (Parigi), terrà il suo intervento nell'aula magna del campus di Mendrisio per il ciclo "Architettura e società nella città europea contemporanea".
Da ora è possibile rivedere su youtube l'intervento che Michael Bronstein, prof. della Facoltà di scienze informatiche dell'USI, ha tenuto lo scorso mese al WEF: "How to Build an Intelligent Machine" ("Come costruire macchine intelligenti").
I bandi nell'area "Information & Communication Technology for Industry" saranno presentati mercoledì 28 ottobre, quelli nel settore "Future and Emerging Technologies" il giorno dopo. Gli eventi si terranno alle 12.30 in aula 402 (campus di Lugano).
Dopo il successo di giovedì scorso sul campus di Mendrisio, con una quarantina di donazioni di sangue, settimana prossima si replica a Lugano dove si potrà donare lunedì 2 (11:00-16:00) e martedì 3 novembre (10:00-15:00) in aula 351.
Sul profilo "USIuniversity" è possibile condividere fotografie di attività o promuovere il senso di comunità grazie a immagini della vita sui campus. Il potere delle immagini trasmette in maniera immediata lo spirito dell'USI e del suo territorio.

After last Thursday’s successful outcome on Mendrisio Campus with about 40 donations, next week the blood donation days will be held on Lugano on Monday the 2nd (11am-4pm) and Tuesday, Nov. 3rd (10am-3pm) in room 351.
