Giovedì 22 ottobre alle 19.30 l'architetto grigionese, al cui lavoro il Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art ha dedicato un’importante retrospettiva nel 2012, terrà la propria lezione nell'aula magna del campus di Mendrisio.
Giovedì 22 ottobre alle 17.00 in aula magna (campus di Lugano) il prof. Francesco Billari, direttore del Dipartimento di sociologia dell’Università di Oxford, sarà il protagonista della lezione pubblica annuale del CEPRA.
La lingua può essere veicolo, anche incosapevole, di stereotipi di genere. Venerdì 23 ottobre alle 8.30 in aula A21 (campus di Lugano) se ne discuterà con le giornaliste Francesca Mandelli e Alessandra Zumthor.
Progetto comune tra l'USI e il Museo, la mostra nasce da una tesi di master dell'Istituto di studi italiani mentre l'allestimento, realizzato da 13 studenti dell'Accademia, è il risultato di un workshop a cura di Riccardo Blumer e Carla Mazzarelli.
M.D. Aeschliman è stato uno dei relatori prinicipali alla conferenza tenutasi recentemente al Downing College, Cambridge. L'articolo relativo al suo intervento sarà pubblicato sulla rivista “The Literary Criterion.”
Sabato 24 ottobre alle 17.00 nell'auditorio del campus di Lugano Guido Milanese e Emilio Manzotti dialogheranno di dolcezza della e nella lingua italiana. Interverranno inoltre Giovanni Cantarini (tenore) e Julian Behr (tiorba e liuto).

Prof. Francesco Billari, director of the Department of Sociology of Oxford University will host the annual CEPRA public lecture on Thursday, October 22nd at 5pm in the Aula Magna (Lugano campus).
Language can often be the innocent carrier of gender stereotypes. Issues on this topic will be tackled on Friday, October 23rd at 8.30am in room A21 (Lugano campus) with journalists Francesca Mandelli and Alessandra Zumthor.
The joint project between USI and the museum is the result of a Master thesis of the Institute of Italian Studies. 13 students of the Academy have designed the set up during a workshop by Riccardo Blumer and Carla Mazzarelli.
