Una summer school su media e comunicazione per giovani ricercatori europei e cinesi

L'Osservatorio sui media e le comunicazioni in Cina dell'USI e l'Università di Pechino (Journalism School e European University Center) organizzano la summer school EU-CHINA Dialogue in Media and Communication Studies. Il programma è destinato a giovani ricercatori e studenti di master con forti interessi accademici nel campo della comunicazione e dei media, in modo particolare a chi ha un background in comunicazione internazionale, interculturale o nei media studies.

Sabato 17 maggio alle 10.00 nell'aula magna del campus di Lugano il pubblico riceverà il benvenuto del Presidente dell'USI Piero Martinoli e del Presidente del Consiglio di Stato Manuele Bertoli. Si terranno poi gli interventi La formazione universitaria nel XXI secolo (Lino Guzzella, rettore ETH Zürich), Econometria e big data (Patrick Gagliardini, prof. presso la Facoltà di scienze economiche) e Esperienza turistica e comunicazione online (Elena Marchiori, assistente presso la Facoltà di scienze della comunicazione). Scenografia, architettura e spazio scenico

Con la conferenza di Malgorzata Szczesniak, tra i più creativi scenografi contemporanei d’Europa, termina il ciclo di incontri pubblici dedicati dall'Accademia al rapporto tra pratica architettonica e arte scenica nell'ottica dell'evoluzione del teatro pubblico. Malgorzata Szczesniak si è diplomata all’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Cracovia, ha lavorato a progetti di arteterapia per schizofrenici e bambini iperattivi e ha realizzato tutte le scene per gli spettacoli teatrali e operistici di Krzysztof Warlikowski. L'appuntamento è per giovedì 10 aprile alle 19.30 in aula magna (campus di Mendrisio).

Si potrà approfondire la conoscenza dei nuovi strumenti della tecnologia - dalle app al cloud, passando attraverso i social network e la user experience - e scoprire la storia di professioniste che hanno raggiunto il successo in settori tipicamente maschili. La folla: secondo appuntamento del ciclo di incontri 'Visioni in dialogo'

Jacques Lévy, geografo ed esperto di teoria dello spazio delle città e della società, introdurrà il tema della folla. Seguiranno differenti punti di vista estetici, artistici, scientifici: Michele Parrinello, professore all'USI, fisico esperto in dinamica molecolare; Hou Hanru, storico dell'arte e curatore, direttore del MAXXI di Roma; Du Zhenjun, artista; Marco Müller, direttore artistico di festival cinematografici, docente dell'Accademia di architettura dell'USI e produttore. L'appuntamento è per sabato 12 aprile alle 11.00 in auditorio, campus di Lugano. È gradita l'iscrizione a participate@associazione-nel.ch.

La donazione di settimana scorsa è stata un altro successo

La Fondazione Servizio Trasfusionale della Croce Rossa svizzera della Svizzera italiana, con cui l'USI ha organizzato le due giornate, ha comunicato che sono state effettuate 90 donazioni. Un ottimo risultato, che dà un contributo prezioso agli ospedali e alle cliniche del cantone che ogni anno necessitano di circa 13'000 concentrati di globuli rossi da trasfondere ai pazienti. Raggiungere questo quantitativo è sempre una sfida, per questo l’apporto di ognuno di voi è importante: grazie a tutti!

A summer school on Media and Communication for European and Chinese young Researchers

USI’s China Media Observatory and the University of Peking (School of Journalism and Communication and the European University Centre) are the coordinators of the summer school EU-CHINA Dialogue in Media and Communication Studies. The programme is intended for young researchers and Master students with strong academic interest in the field of communication and media, in particular for those with a background in international and intercultural communication or in media studies.

On Saturday, 17 May at 10am in the Aula Magna of Lugano Campus, USI’s President Piero Martinoli and the President of the Cantonal Government Manuele Bertoli will welcome the public. Scenography, Architecture and the Stage

Malgorzata Szczesniak is among the most creative European contemporary scenographers. Her lecture ends the series of public encounters of the Academy devoted to the relationship between architectural practice and stage art in the framework of the evolution of public theatre. Szczesniak graduated from the Fine Arts Academy of Krakow and worked on art therapy projects for schizophrenic and hyperactive children, and created all stage design for theatrical and operatic performances by Krzysztof Warlikowski. The lecture will be held on Thursday, 10 April at 7.30pm in the Aula Magna of Mendrisio Campus.

The Pink Cloud: and opportunity for 2.0 female students

An event to learn more about technology’s new tools – from App to Cloud through social network and the user experience – and to hear the stories of female professionals who have achieved success in predominantly male fields. During the three days (with free participation reserved to 15 USI female students) participants will be able to compare different professional realities and take the opportunity for an internship or mentorship. The crowd: the second encounter of the series 'A talk among visions'

Jacques Lévy, geographer and expert in the theory of the city and society, will introduce the theme of the crowd. To follow, different aesthetic, artistic and scientific point of view: Michele Parrinello, physicist and expert in molecular dynamic at USI; Hou Hanru, art historian and curator, director of the MAXXI of Rome; Du Zhenjun, artist; Marco Müller, artistic director of film festivals, professor at USI’s Academy of Architecture, and producer. The encounter will be held on Saturday, 12 April at 11am in the Auditorium of Lugano campus. Registration is appreciated at participate@associazione-nel.ch.

Last week’s donation has been another success

The Transfusion Service of the Swiss Red Cross of the Italian Speaking part of Switzerland, with which USI has organised the two-day event, announced that 90 donations were made. An excellent outcome, which gives a valuable contribution to the Canton’s hospitals and clinics in need of about 13,000 red cell concentrates for their patients. Reaching this goal is always a challenge, which is why each contribution is important: thanks to all!
