USI organises the World's first Interdisciplinary Conference on Communicating Medical Error
According to OMS latest figures, every year worldwide, 43 million of accidents occur in the medical field. The conference organised by the Institute of Communication and Health will promote an in depth academic interdisciplinary discussion on the theme. On Thursday, 21 March at 8.30pm a public event will be held in English with simultaneous
translation in Italian, featuring experts from different fields.

Regina Pinna-Marfurt appointed new Managing Director for EMScom
Among EMScom first graduates and co-founder of its Alumni Association, Regina Pinna-Marfurt brings to USI a vast professional experience in corporate communication and marketing. She will take office on 15 April will succed Nina Volles, at the helm of the programme since 2004: "I am delighted to take on this new challenge" - stated Regina - "Over the last decade a solid foundation has
been created, and now the aim is to strengthen our presence outside European borders and reinforce our reputation internationally".
New Harley-Davidson Club Ticino Scholarships to support Ticino's most deserving Students
The ceremony will be held on Thursday, 21 March at 11am in front of the main building entrance. The two recipients, nominated by a special commission according to merit, will receive their annual scholarships of CHF 4,000.- in the presence of the President of the Harley-Davidson Club Ticino Augusto Marchi and USI's President Piero Martinoli.

Expo2015 picked Lugano as the first stop for its International road-show
On Wednesday, 20 March at 3pm in the Aula Magna of Lugano Campus, Milano's first citizen Giuliano Pisapia and Lugano's Mayor Giorgio Giudici, the Swiss Consul in Milano Massimo Baggi, the president of the Expo 2015 Diana Bracco, Director General of the Expo 2015 Giuseppe Sala and Cantonal Representative Luigi Pedrazzini, will introduce the event, with careful focus on the activities that will take place in Ticino.

USI to Engadin Marathon thanks to Fabio Flepp
Fabio, a Master in International Tourism student, was one of the heroic participant of the 45th Engadin Marathon
held on Saturday, 9 March on the snows of St. Moritz
and surroundings. Fabio took part in the amateur race on behalf of USI's Sport Service together with other 11.825 athletes and ranked 5,553. He raced for 42 Km with his cross-country skis taking 2h50m29s. Congratulations!
